Community Employment (CE) Schemes

Kare, in association with the Department of Social Protection, sponsor two Community Employment Programmes (CE). These are the Adults Supports programme and the Childcare Programme. Both of these programmes are funded through the Department of Social Protection (DSP).
Kare’s Community Employment (CE) programmes are designed to help people who are long-term unemployed to get back to work by offering part-time and temporary placements (19.5 hours per week) in jobs based within our local community.
CE Scheme Eligibility
Are you currently unemployed and willing to take a job opportunity in a community employment scheme where you have the chance to re-train, upskill & gain valuable work experience?

Kare can offer you the opportunity to complete relevant training and work experience working in frontline services, childcare, clerical, reception, accounts, catering and caretaker/maintenance roles.

Gain experience by working directly in services for adults and children or support/administration services.

80% of participants who complete the KARE CE Scheme progress to employment.
