Community Employment (CE) Schemes

Kare, in association with the Department of Social Protection (DSP), runs two Community Employment (CE) Schemes: Adult Supports and Childcare.

CE programmes are designed to help people who are long-term unemployed to get back to work, by offering part-time and temporary placements (19.5 hours per week) in jobs based in the local community.

Kare's CE Schemes provide

opportunities to complete training and work experience in frontline services, childcare, clerical, reception, accounts, catering and caretaker/ maintenance roles.

What people say about Kare's Community Employment

From the care and support shown to me from my supervisor in Kare to the dedication of the tutors – it’s great!

I can honestly say it was the beginning of a new journey in my career.

To say the CE childcare programme has been rewarding would be an understatement!
