Kare delivers a wide range of community-based supports to children and adults with intellectual disabilities in an innovative and progressive way.
Our vision is to ensure that people of all abilities are supported in their right to have real opportunities and choice to live their best life. We work in partnership to support people with disabilities and their families to create a present and future that fulfils their personal potential.
As a charitable organisation seeking donations from the public, we endeavour to comply with the Guidelines for Charitable Organisations on Fundraising from the Public, as set out by the Charities Regulator Authority.
All fundraising will respect the rights and dignity of Kare's donors, beneficiaries and the public.

Respect and honesty: We treat all of our donors, prospective donors, and beneficiaries with respect, honesty, and openness.

Accountability and transparency: We commit to being accountable and transparent so our donors and prospective donors can have full confidence in Kare. We commit to take responsibility for the actions of the organisation and will be capable of explaining, clarifying and justifying those actions.

Purposeful use of gifts: We commit that charitable donations and gifts made to Kare will be used for the purposes for which they have been donated.

Management of costs: We commit to effectively manage the essential administration and all fundraising costs to ensure they are kept to a minimum, where possible.

Mission information: We will inform you of our vision, mission and how we intend to use donated resources.

Leadership identity: We share the identities of those serving on Kare's Board of Directors, assuring you that they will exercise prudent judgement in their stewardship responsibilities at all times.

Financial access: We commit to provide access to Kare's most recent audited financial statements in accordance with the Statement of Recommended Practice for Charities.

Acknowledgment and recognition: We commit to providing appropriate acknowledgment and recognition to our donors.

Confidentiality: We handle your donation information with respect and confidentiality, to the extent provided by law.

Professional relationships: We ensure all interactions with our representatives are professional and not unreasonably persistent, intrusive, or pressurised in any way.

Solicitor identification: We commit to inform you whether those seeking donations are volunteers, employees, or hired third-party agents.

Fundraising integrity: Fundraisers representing Kare will act with integrity and will not misrepresent the organisation, its needs for funds, or how those funds will be applied.

Complaint procedures: We provide agreed procedures for making and responding to complaints.

Transparent communication: We offer prompt, truthful, and straightforward answers to any questions you might have.

Personal information: We will manage your personal information and our database of supporters in compliance with relevant Data Protection Legislation. Any requests for donor information to be removed from active mailing lists will be acted upon in line with the our Privacy Policy.
