Kare drama group takes to the stage

A group of 14 people supported by Kare took to the stage last Monday with a showcase performance at Ryston Sports and Social Club in Newbridge.

The group had been taking part in weekly workshops with Crooked House Theatre Company since January, learning how to work together in a creative space, build stories, recognise emotions in performance, and develop their skills in front of an audience. Monday's showcase brought it all together as their grand finale.

Some members of the group have also been working towards their QQI Level 3 Drama Award, which they have now completed by taking part in the showcase performance.

The project was supported by Kare's Local Impact Fund, which makes funding available for new ideas and initiatives across the organisation.
